Attached is a photo of the hand-off of the Toyota van we received. We worked with Davis Celestine of the PVA to identify a deserving veteran for the van. Also is a photo of the donor of the van handing Jim Fletcher, VVA 787 President, the keys. The donor's name is Jackie Street and she is the widow of a Vietnam veteran. As you may recall, this van was manufactured with an automatic wheelchair lift, a rarity. This was the tenth vehicle we have donated. The PVA is paying to have hand controls installed. Thanks to Mike O'Dell for helping with the hand-off.

On Memorial Day weekend 2022 American
Legion Post #5 in Tampa hosted a wreath laying Ceremony honoring Veterans of all wars. All Veterans organization in the area participated. 
On Memorial Day 2023 at The American Legion Cemetary in Tampa Pat Walsh presented a memorial wreath on behalf of VVA Chapter 787 Hillsborough County Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Program & VVA Chapter 787 Memorial Dedication March 26, 2022 |
Pat Walsh was the presenter
and was escorted by a Boy Scout from a local troop in the Tampa Bay area.
